Marine Single Sideband

Marine Single Sideband is located in historic Gloucester Point, Virginia at the mouth of the York River. We provide general marine communications services and systems to recreational and commercial vessels on the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries from the Northern Neck through the Middle Peninsula to Hampton Roads.

We can design and install complete HF, VHF, and HF Email systems optimized for your communication requirements; perform "pre-flight" system checks of particular interest to vessels heading to sea and needing confidence that their equipment is operating properly. We also maintain laboratory facilities to check your equipment against original factory specifications when necessary.

For those installing single sideband and/or email systems, we can provide customized, hands-on training.

In addition, we perform analyses of potential or actual corrosion problems caused by galvanic or electrochemical action and recommend appropriate protective actions to reduce or minimize this harmful corrosion.
